*There was no mention of a baby on the way when singer Kelly Rowland appeared in the vacated Star Jones Reynolds chair last week as a guest co-host on “The View,” but according to a British tabloid, the former Destiny’s Child member is two month’s pregnant with her first child.

"It's kind of a bitter-sweet feeling because I was planning to release an album next year," the 25-year-old is quoted as saying in the Daily Mirror.

The paper adds that Rowland has chosen to keep the identity of the babydaddy on the low.

Her breakup last year with Dallas Cowboys star Roy Williams made headlines after the athlete said in an interview that their undoing was because of Rowland’s impatience to get down the aisle. Rowland, however, told “The View” audience that their scrapped marriage was a “mutual decision” because they “both” realized things were moving to fast.

Rowland also revealed on “The View” that she is dating again.

CBS is reporting that Rowland’s pregnancy rumor began with a posting on several Internet forums more than a week ago by someone known as “Keith Slogan — AMG (amgmusic.com)." The posts said Rowland told AMG about the pregnancy, stating: "It's kind of a bittersweet feeling because I was planning to release an album next year."

The London Daily Mirror picked up the story and ran an article about it a few days later in its 3 AM gossip column using that Rowland quote. Once it hit the Daily Mirror, media sites and blogs picked up the story and ran with it.

A press release issued Monday from Rowland’s label Sony BMG said "statements attributed to Kelly regarding her alleged pregnancy were never made by the artist and a purported interview with the AMG never took place."

Sony says Rowland is busy working on her second solo album, "My Story — Kelly Rowland," due early next year after it was pushed back from its original June 2006 release. Rowland’s manager, Mathew Knowles, says the project was pushed back for marketing reasons.

"We want to make sure our marketing strategy is a multitiered approach that capitalizes on the synergies afforded by her other projects," Knowles told Billboard in May.

Singer Kelly Rowland is in Full Throttle: Planning For A New Album and A New Baby in 2007

Former Destiny’s Child Bandmate has matured and grown up fast. On the Eve of her ex-bandmate Beyonce’s new album B-Day, she is gearing up for a roller coaster year for 2007. Behind releasing the follow-up for her debut album, “Simply Deep” released in 2002. She will also be releasing something else into the world, a new baby. Rowland was bombarded with rumors in June that she was indeed two months pregnant. Which many fans and insiders denied. However, last Thursday Rowland was spotted at an baby store buying new baby outfits in Paris. This once again stirred speculation about her rumored pregnancy. Now, a week later Rowland has confirmed the startling rumors. On a local radio station in Paris, the local DJ, Hogan Pierce interviewed her, and confronted her with the brewing rumor. He explains that there was a long pause, then, she finally replied. “ Yes, I am indeed 4 months pregnant, and I’m very exited.” Pierce then asked who was the father. She then smiled exclaiming, “Were both happy, and that’s all that matters. I’m a very private person, and I try to keep it that way.” She also stated that the baby was expected to be due in February 2007. She also mentioned, her new album would be released that Summer.
